The Jeremiah Promise
The Jeremiah Promise is a faith-based community initiative that partners with local communities to increase resilience and reduce vulnerability to poverty in all its forms—physical, psychological, and spiritual. The project provides hope, encouragement, and support for personal growth and well-being. This project empowers communities through development, leadership, and spiritual care to reduce poverty and build lasting resilience.
This project came out of a desire to support a grassroots non-profit in Uganda called Sharing Ministries Uganda. The Ugandan team is involved in several projects including the responsibility of caring for 21 orphans and providing community support with their limited resources.
The focus of this project is to ensure that the children have access to healthy and regular meals, that health needs are met and those that become ill have access to medication, that the children have access to clean drinking water, and all school age children registered and attending school. This includes ensuring school fees are covered, purchase of scholastic material, and school uniforms.
