Health

Each day, 24,000 children die from preventable causes such as neonatal complications, diarrhea, malaria and pneumonia. This amounts to 8.8 million children each year (UNICEF). Nearly 20million children suffer from severe acute malnutrition. It contributes to one million child deaths annually (WHO). Almost 16 million of current HIV infections are women and 2.1 million are children under age 15 (UNAIDS).

In keeping with the UN Millennium Development Goals, Bridges of Hope is partnering with key agencies to reduce the preventable death of children under five.

Through our critical intervention centers, safe drinking water programs and projects, we are insuring that hundreds of mothers and children are well nourished, protected from infection & diseases with access to essential health services created.
